Welcome to the Aboite Civil Township Office. We have developed this website as a resource tool for our residents who want a better understanding of township government and the services we offer.
A Township Trustee is an elected official in the local government. A township trustee oversees the township's parks, emergency services and assistance program. Current Trustee Mike Meyers took office on January 1, 2019.
Fire Protection Our Township is served by the dedicated members of the Aboite Township Volunteer Fire Department, which is funded by the township office.
Cemetery Maintenance The Township maintains a public cemetery.
Emergency Financial Assistance to Township residents who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties
Food Pantry Aboite residents in need of food may visit our food pantry during business hours. To make donations to the food pantry please review our list of requests and drop your donations to us during business hours.
The pickleball courts at Indian Trails Park are open! The playground will remain closed per Governor Holcomb's new directive.
Recreational sports leagues (baseball, soccer, etc) may resume on June 14th. This follows the Governor's Back on Track Indiana plan, more details on which can be found here.
Our annual summer concerts are being tentatively planned for Wednesday evenings at 7pm in July and August. Restrictions on public gatherings and social distancing will dictate if we can proceed with the concerts - check here for continuing updates.
